APEVIA 550W Chameleon Aluminum Power Supply-Black

Chameleon 550W
overclockersclub Today we have another exciting review, and its on the most vital component within a computer. The Aspire Chameleon 550W PSU sounds as promising as it looks, and with today's high-demand power-sucking components, a strong PSU means a strong computer. Aspire, though not the most mainstream name in PSUs, is one of the leading manufacturers of quality PSU units. As always, we're going to stress it, test it and rip it apart to see what makes this PSU tick, and what, if anything, will make this PSU come to its knees. Without further ado, onto the review.

APEVIA 550W Chameleon Aluminum Power Supply-Black

Chameleon 550W

overclockercafe Aspire USA is mainly recognized as the maker of some very unique and interesting PC computer chassis. The X-Navigator, X-Alien, X-Super Alien, X-Sonic and the X-Pider to name just a few. (They are big on the ‘X’ as you can see.) In addition to their case line, they also produce a variety of pre-modded power supply units laden with LED fans, UV reactive cables and braided lines. Today, we are fortunate enough to have their latest power supply unit styled the Chameleon up on our bench. Being named the Chameleon is quite an appropriate labeling as the PSU allows the user to change the LED lighting inside to any one of three colors. This is something that promises to have a big draw on the LAN crowd and case mod community. Let’s take a look at Aspire’s newest creation and see what we can see.
